Volunteer firefighters in Břase have made a big step forward in the field of first aid over the past year. Thanks to their efforts and the support of sponsors, they managed to obtain important equipment that can save lives. One of the key elements is an automated external defibrillator (AED), which the firefighters received as a transfer from the Pilsen Region Fire Department. However, it was not functional due to an old battery, so the corps decided to secure funding to put it into operation.

Thanks to Wood Seeds sro, DYBS Plzeň sro, Vodárna Plzeň as and the municipality of Břasy, we managed to raise the necessary funds in the amount of over 25 thousand crowns and the AED is now fully available. The commander of the Břasy JSDH Martin Mleziva appreciated the support of the sponsors and emphasized how important it is to have a functional defibrillator when responding to cardiac events.
In addition to AEDs, firefighters are continuing their education and acquiring new equipment, such as a special rescue backpack with resuscitation and injury treatment tools. The unit is also working to become a First Responder, which would allow for even faster response to emergencies.

We are glad that we could be part of this initiative and help where it really makes sense. Supporting volunteer firefighters is important not only for their safety, but above all for the health and lives of the people around them. The firefighters in Břase are a great example of determination and willingness to help, and we are proud to be part of this story.
